Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and toileting
Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility using proper body mechanics
Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
Support meal assistance and feeding while honoring patient dignity
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided
Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients
Collaborate with RN/LVN staff to ensure continuity of care and positive outcomes

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
Active state CNA license or registry in California
Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
Comfortable working overnight shifts and adapting to per diem assignments
Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Previous experience in a long-term care, rehab, or acute setting is a plus

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completed state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Patient hygiene and ADL assistance
Basic vital signs monitoring and reporting
Safe patient handling and fall prevention techniques
Infection control and standard precautions
Clear, compassionate communication with patients and families
Time management and reliable documentation practices
