Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care for residents, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff promptly
- Perform safe transfers and mobility assistance to preserve dignity and independence
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations
- Assist with feeding, bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene while promoting resident comfort
- Follow infection control protocols and facility policies to protect residents and staff
- Work collaboratively with the care team to deliver personalized resident-centered care
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings helpful
- Ability to pass facility background checks and required health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to care
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completed state-approved CNA training program and active CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in assisting with ADLs and basic patient care tasks
- Knowledge of infection prevention and resident safety practices
- Comfortable with accurate charting and following care plans
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Time management and prioritization to meet resident needs efficiently
