Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care for residents, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff promptly
• Perform safe transfers and mobility assistance to preserve dignity and independence
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations
• Assist with feeding, bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene while promoting resident comfort
• Follow infection control protocols and facility policies to protect residents and staff
• Work collaboratively with the care team to deliver personalized resident-centered care

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings helpful
• Ability to pass facility background checks and required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to care

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completed state-approved CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs and basic patient care tasks
• Knowledge of infection prevention and resident safety practices
• Comfortable with accurate charting and following care plans
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Time management and prioritization to meet resident needs efficiently
