Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents following care plans
- Assist with activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
- Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect residents and yourself
- Document resident interactions and care delivered in a timely, professional manner
- Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and the care team
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Pennsylvania
- Previous CNA experience preferred but new grads with certification are welcome
- Up-to-date basic life support (BLS) / CPR as required by facility
- Ability to pass background check, TB screening, and required immunizations
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively on a care team
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing and personal care techniques
- Skillful in safe resident handling and transfer techniques
- Comfortable with documentation and following care plans
- Ability to recognize and report changes in condition
- Good teamwork and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment
- Respectful approach to resident privacy, dignity, and cultural needs
