Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform and evaluate clinical laboratory tests accurately and efficiently to support patient care
• Maintain quality control and documentation to ensure compliance with laboratory standards
• Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment
• Collaborate with clinicians and lab team members to interpret results and improve processes
• Participate in proficiency testing and competency assessments as required
• Follow safety, infection control, and specimen handling procedures to protect patients and staff
• Mentor and assist junior staff or technologists to foster a strong team environment

Qualifications

• Completion of Prime Core Competencies Exam, Prime Skills Checklist, and Prime Specialty Exam (as indicated)
• Current required immunizations and health screenings: COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza vaccine, Varicella, Tdap, TB test (Positive PPD with Negative Chest X-Ray accepted), and a physical/health statement
• Successful completion of Prime color-blind test and a minimum 10-panel Prime drug screening
• Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) experience preferred for a Level II role; please list relevant lab experience when applying
• Willingness to comply with facility-specific onboarding and credentialing requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or a related field preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of clinical laboratory procedures and testing workflows
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation
• Familiarity with quality control, proficiency testing, and regulatory compliance
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot common lab analyzers and instrumentation
• Good communication skills for coordinating with clinical staff and reporting results
• Time management and prioritization skills to handle workload in a busy lab
