Location: Orwigsburg, PA

Start Date: 05-04-2026

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 8-hour shifts (specific start/end times and scheduled days to be confirmed)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
Take and document vital signs accurately and report changes in condition
Support safe transfers and mobility assistance using proper techniques
Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, families, and the care team
Assist nursing staff with daily tasks to promote efficient, high-quality care
Document patient interactions and care provided in an accurate, timely manner

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Pennsylvania required
Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Comfortable assisting with patient mobility and personal care
Good communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach
Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
Previous experience in long-term care or clinical setting is a plus

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of patient care fundamentals and ADLs
Skill in taking and recording vital signs
Familiarity with infection prevention and safety protocols
Basic charting and documentation skills
Strong teamwork, time management, and interpersonal skills
Ability to follow care plans and report observations clearly
