Location: Orono, Maine

Shift Type: Days to be confirmed, 2:45 PM - 10:30 PM (Evening / Second Shift, classified as day shift)

Hours per Week: 39

Candidate Pay Rate: $23 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct care and assistance with activities of daily living
Support residents with bathing, dressing, grooming and mobility
Take and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
Maintain clear, accurate documentation to support quality care
Ensure a safe, clean environment and follow infection control practices
Communicate respectfully with residents, families and the interdisciplinary team
Assist with transfers and positioning while using safe lifting techniques
Contribute to a positive resident experience through attentive, person-centered care

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential — required
Active state certification or ability to transfer/obtain Maine certification
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Ability to pass a background check and required health screenings
Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on experience with resident care and activities of daily living
Knowledge of basic infection control and safety procedures
Comfortable documenting care accurately and communicating observations
Team player who collaborates well with nurses and other caregivers
Good time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
