Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents and patients, helping with daily living activities
• Assist nursing staff by reporting changes in patient condition promptly and accurately
• Support mobility and safe transfers while prioritizing dignity and comfort
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices consistently
• Document care activities clearly and timely to ensure continuity of care
• Communicate respectfully with patients, families, and the care team to support person-centered care
• Participate in care planning and team huddles to contribute practical, frontline insights

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — Pennsylvania preferred
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Comfortable performing ADLs, transfers, and basic patient care tasks
• Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings (e.g., TB, immunizations)
• Reliable, team-oriented attitude with strong communication and empathy

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Foundations of patient care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Basic infection control and safety practices
• Observation skills to notice and report changes in patient status
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
• Time management and the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy care setting
• Willingness to learn facility procedures and charting systems
