Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients and residents during night shifts
Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding) with dignity
Monitor and report changes in patient condition, including vital signs
Document care accurately and communicate effectively with the nursing team
Support patient mobility and fall prevention efforts to keep people safe
Help create a calm, reassuring nighttime environment to promote rest and recovery
Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment

Qualifications

Active CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — California preferred or eligible
Comfortable and experienced working 12-hour night shifts
CPR/BLS certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Reliable, punctual, and able to handle physical aspects of patient care

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completed CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in ADLs and patient hygiene assistance
Basic vital signs monitoring and charting
Understanding of infection control and safety protocols
Good clinical observation and reporting to licensed nurses
Time management during busy night shifts
Compassionate bedside manner and patient advocacy
