Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes in patient status to nursing staff
• Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and positioning to promote patient comfort
• Support meal assistance, hygiene, and toileting needs with dignity and respect
• Document care accurately and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment for patients and visitors

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
• Demonstrated experience providing hands-on patient care preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Comfort working overnight shifts and adapting to variable per-diem schedules

Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• Current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in basic patient care tasks: bathing, feeding, toileting, and ambulation
• Knowledge of infection control practices and patient safety protocols
• Ability to take and record accurate vital signs and observations
• Good documentation skills and familiarity with electronic or paper charting
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to comfort patients and families
