Location: Albuquerque, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (as-needed), 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM NOC

Hours per Week: 38

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
Monitor, record, and report changes in patient condition including vital signs
Support patients with mobility, transfers, and personal hygiene needs
Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients
Communicate effectively with nursing staff and participate in team-based care
Assist with documentation and ensure accurate, timely charting

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
Active state nursing assistant credential for New Mexico (or eligible to obtain)
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
Comfortable working overnight 12+ hour shifts and flexible per diem scheduling
Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-first attitude
Previous experience in long-term care, rehab, or acute settings is a plus

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of a state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on patient care and safe transfer techniques
Vital signs monitoring and basic clinical observations
Infection control practices and proper hygiene protocols
Accurate documentation and attention to detail
Team collaboration and clear communication with nursing staff
