Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver precise, patient-centered radiation therapy treatments using Varian Edge and Halcyon systems
• Operate and troubleshoot treatment equipment while following safety and QA protocols
• Position patients accurately and verify treatment plans to ensure consistent, high-quality care
• Collaborate with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and the care team to optimize treatment
• Document treatments and patient responses thoroughly in the electronic charting system
• Educate patients and families about procedures and comfort measures to reduce anxiety
• Participate in ongoing quality assurance, safety checks, and process improvement initiatives
• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards, departmental policies, and infection control

Qualifications

• ARRT certification (required)
• BLS certification (required)
• Minimum 2 years of radiation therapy experience
• Proven experience with Varian Edge and Halcyon equipment
• Comfort using computerized charting systems and other clinical software
• Ability to submit required state licensure documentation (License to Submit: Yes)
• Willingness to complete a 12-hour orientation
• Candidates must not have been employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with CommonSpirit (including CHI or Dignity) within the past year

Knowledge & Skills

• Deep working knowledge of radiation therapy techniques and safety principles
• Hands-on experience with Varian Edge and Halcyon treatment platforms
• Familiarity with ARRT standards and professional best practices
• Proficiency with computerized charting systems and clinical documentation
• Strong patient positioning and immobilization skills
• Solid teamwork, communication, and patient education abilities
• Attention to detail for quality assurance and treatment verification
