Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide skilled therapeutic interventions to support functional independence and safe discharge
• Document assessments and progress in the medical record using EPIC
• Collaborate closely with nurses, physicians, and other rehab team members to coordinate care
• Implement and teach therapeutic use of adaptive equipment and mobility strategies
• Participate in Trinity specialty competency testing and maintain clinical competencies
• Communicate effectively with patients and families to set meaningful, measurable goals
• Support safe transfers, fall prevention strategies, and environment modifications

Qualifications

• Current occupational therapy license or ability to verify state licensure (license/certificate verification required)
• BLS certification required
• Experience using EPIC for charting and documentation preferred
• Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist required
• Successful completion of required health screenings: 10-panel drug screen, TB testing (2-step PPD or IGRA), immunizations (Tdap, MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, COVID-19, Influenza) and fit testing
• Willingness to complete Trinity respirator evaluation and color vision testing as required

Education

• Degree in Occupational Therapy (OTR) or equivalent professional preparation

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with EPIC documentation workflows
• Strong assessment skills for ADLs, mobility, cognition, and home safety
• Skilled in therapeutic techniques, adaptive equipment recommendations, and caregiver training
• Excellent interdisciplinary communication and care coordination
• Infection control knowledge and adherence to facility health requirements
• Ability to learn site-specific protocols and demonstrate competency through Trinity testing
