Roles & Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist in cardiac catheterization cases and STEMI activations with confidence and precision
• Monitor cath lab patients during procedures using Maclab and facility systems for accurate charting
• Operate and support imaging equipment including GE x-ray systems and adjunct devices like Impella and IABP
• Assist with advanced procedures such as atherectomy, IVUS, OCT, FFR and RFR when required
• Collaborate closely with RNs, techs and physicians to provide seamless, patient-centered care
• Support turnover, patient transport and cross-coverage at partner facilities as needed
• Maintain up-to-date ACLS and BLS readiness and ensure compliance with unit policies

Qualifications

• RT or RCIS credential required; ARRT or RCIS certification preferred and will be considered
• ACLS and BLS required and current
• Minimum 1 year experience scrubbing cardiac cath cases and providing STEMI call coverage (explicitly required)
• Comfortable monitoring cath lab cases and charting in Maclab and Meditech
• Team player attitude with the ability to adapt and go with the flow in a busy procedural environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of cardiac cath lab procedures and sterile scrubbing technique
• Familiarity with IR and EP scrubbing is a nice-to-have
• Experience with Maclab monitoring and Meditech charting
• Comfort with advanced cath lab equipment: Impella, IABP, atherectomy, IVUS, OCT, FFR and RFR
• Ability to function well on a 3-4 person team with clear communication and situational awareness
