Shift Type: Day shifts (3 x 12-hour shifts per week), 06:45 AM - 07:15 PM, schedule includes every other weekend
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and stabilize childbearing women and neonates with confidence and compassion
- Develop individualized plans of care and evaluate outcomes to ensure quality
- Provide patient and family education on self-care and newborn care that empowers
- Perform initial neonatal assessment and stabilization as needed
- Document care accurately and thoroughly in the EHR (supporting the Meditech → Epic transition)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate holistic care
- Maintain up-to-date clinical skills and certifications to ensure best outcomes
- Serve as a resource and support for current staff during EHR transition and unit needs
Qualifications
- Current Pennsylvania RN licensure (required)
- Completion of an accredited registered nurse program
- Current BLS (American Heart Association Healthcare Provider) — renews every 2 years
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification — current and renewed per policy
- ACLS certification (AHA Healthcare Provider) — current and renewed every 2 years
- Experience in Labor & Delivery and neonatal care, including neonatal stabilization
- Experience with Epic and Meditech EHRs and willingness to support staff during the Epic go-live
- Strong verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills; able to function as a team liaison
Education
- Completion of an accredited registered nurse program (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- RN nursing care for childbearing women and neonates
- Patient and family education techniques
- Plan of care development and outcome evaluation
- Clinical Labor & Delivery skills and neonatal stabilization
- Documentation and data entry in Meditech and Epic
- Interdisciplinary collaboration and professional communication
- Ability to remain calm, use sound judgment, and apply tact with patients and families
