Roles & Responsibilities

• Maintain patient rooms, clinic areas, and public spaces in a clean, neat, and sanitary condition according to established procedures
• Perform thorough cleaning and sanitation tasks using proper cleaning solutions and equipment
• Manage linen duties including stocking clean linen and removing soiled linen promptly
• Work efficiently to complete assigned areas in a timely manner while maintaining quality standards
• Adhere to infection control practices, standard precautions, and isolation procedures to protect patients and staff
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment safely and report any maintenance needs
• Support a positive patient experience through professionalism, courtesy, and attention to detail

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills
• Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods, push/pull mops and brooms, and lift up to 50 pounds
• Basic housekeeping and sanitation skills with experience in patient room and clinic area cleaning
• Previous hospital or industrial cleaning and linen experience preferred
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment and solutions is helpful
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays as part of a rotating schedule

Education
