Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered medical-surgical nursing care and integrate collaborative care planning for individual patients
• Serve as charge nurse when required: coordinate care, delegate to LNAs, and collaborate with Nurse Lead and House Supervisor to maintain safe operations
• Manage patient assignments responsibly while maintaining patient ratios (up to 6:1) and ensuring patient safety
• Document thoroughly and accurately in EPIC EMR to support continuity of care
• Mentor and support team members, fostering a positive and professional unit culture
• Communicate clearly with interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families to provide compassionate education and care
• Adhere to facility policies including submission-time requested time off and travel/assignment reporting requirements

Qualifications

• Active New Hampshire RN license or Compact RN license (must be uploaded with profile)
• Minimum 3+ years current Medical-Surgical (MS) nursing experience
• Charge nurse experience — this is required
• Active American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications (must be current)
• EPIC EMR experience highly preferred
• Previous travel nurse experience preferred
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years (required)
• Permanent address listed in profile and reliable personal vehicle for local travel

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical medical-surgical nursing skills including assessment, medication administration, IV therapy, and wound care
• Experience using EPIC EMR for charting and clinical workflows
• Leadership, delegation, and staff coordination as a charge nurse
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment and manage patient assignments safely
• Accurate documentation, infection control, and patient education practices
