Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care using therapeutic procedures and modalities to restore function
• Implement assistive-device training and mobility programs to improve independence
• Deliver targeted interventions to restore muscle strength, range of motion, coordination and body alignment
• Apply pain management techniques and carry out treatment plans developed by the supervising PT
• Document patient progress clearly and timely, communicating changes to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support holistic patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on home programs, safety and progression toward goals

Qualifications

• Valid California License to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA)
• Graduated from an approved Physical Therapy Assistant Program
• Ability to function under the clinical supervision of a Physical Therapist and follow the State Practice Act
• Strong patient-centered communication skills and professional clinical judgment
• Availability to work full-time day shifts

• Graduated from an approved Physical Therapy Assistant Program
