Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate patient care for medical/surgical and critically ill patients
• Operate and monitor advanced medical equipment including ventilators and invasive lines
• Manage central lines, arterial lines (A-lines), chest tubes, and multiple IV pumps safely
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and implement established policies/procedures
• Coordinate patient care from admission through discharge, including discharge planning
• Act as a clinical leader on shift and assist with precepting new staff
• Give and receive clear direction with interdisciplinary team members to optimize outcomes

Qualifications

• Current Montana RN licensure required
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS, EPNC, TNCC preferred
• Practice in an advanced medical/surgical unit and recent critical care nursing experience required
• Demonstrated ability to operate ventilators, manage invasive lines, chest tubes, and multiple IV pumps
• Experience providing leadership on shift and precepting staff

Education

• Degree from an accredited Nursing program (RN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Advanced nursing principles and procedures
• Proficient with ventilator support and respiratory management
• Skilled in care of central lines, arterial lines, and chest tubes
• Comfortable using multiple IV pumps and other advanced medical equipment
• Strong assessment skills and ability to implement policies with minimal supervision
• Clinical leadership, teamwork, and clear communication with interdisciplinary teams
• Basic office equipment proficiency (charting, electronic documentation)
