Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate patients to identify functional limitations and occupational needs
Develop individualized treatment plans that maximize daily living skills
Implement therapeutic procedures and recommend appropriate assistive devices
Document patient progress and communicate findings to the referring physician
Collaborate with rehabilitation team members to coordinate comprehensive care
Educate patients and families to support carryover and independence
Ensure practice complies with the State Practice Act and facility policies

Qualifications

Current CA Occupational Therapist License required
Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent degree) required
Clinical experience evaluating and treating adult patients preferred
Strong communication and teamwork skills to support interdisciplinary care
Ability to work under direction of the Manager of Rehabilitation Services and follow physician orders

Education

Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy

Knowledge & Skills

Occupational Therapy best practices and State Practice Act requirements
Patient evaluation and functional assessment techniques
Treatment planning and documentation standards
Therapeutic procedures and safe use of assistive devices
Ability to educate patients and families in a compassionate, clear manner
Good clinical judgment, time management, and collaboration skills
