Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert labor and delivery care for antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum patients
• Circulate for C-sections and support scrub/OR roles as needed during operative deliveries
• Administer and monitor IV therapies such as magnesium and other high-acuity drips
• Perform and assist with procedures including epidurals, spinals and cerclage
• Use Meditech and CPN documentation systems to maintain accurate patient records
• Rapidly assess and triage OB presentations in a fast-paced L&D environment
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team including anesthesiology, pediatrics and NICU
• Deliver compassionate patient education and support to birthing people and families

Qualifications

• Active RN license and at least 2 years of nursing experience (OB/L&D experience highly preferred)
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP; AWOHHN Fetal Heart Rate Intermediate listed by hospital
• Prior experience circulating in OR and assisting with C-sections is a strong plus
• Comfort with high-acuity patients and IV medication administration (including magnesium)
• Familiarity with Meditech and CPN documentation systems
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts and collaborate within the women and children service line

Knowledge & Skills

• Labor and delivery clinical skills and maternal fetal monitoring knowledge
• Operating room circulation and scrub support for obstetric procedures
• High-acuity nursing and rapid assessment in emergent situations
• Proficiency with Meditech and CPN electronic documentation
• Skilled in IV medication administration and management
• Strong communication, teamwork and patient education abilities
