Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize medication dosing for patients, including vancomycin, aminoglycosides and anticoagulants
• Verify medications and oversee safe dispensing practices across the inpatient pharmacy
• Compound sterile IV solutions and verify preparations using Dose Edge to ensure patient safety
• Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians, overseeing Pyxis and Pak Edge operations
• Provide meaningful pain consults and collaborate with care teams to improve patient outcomes
• Document medication interventions and communicate effectively with nursing and providers
• Support emergency medication box readiness and first-dose processes to keep care timely

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited Pharmacy School (required)
• Licensed to practice Pharmacy in Missouri (MO license required)
• Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy experience (as listed in the job data)
• Comfortable compounding sterile IVs and supervising pharmacy technicians
• Familiarity with Dose Edge, Pyxis, Pak Edge and Meditech EMR
• ACLS and BLS preferred
• NICU experience is a plus but not required

Education

• Degree from an accredited Pharmacy School

• Supervising and training pharmacy technicians

• Conducting pain consults and medication-related clinical interventions
