Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, triage and prioritize patients quickly in a fast-paced emergency department
• Provide skilled nursing care and interventions for acute and critical conditions
• Administer medications and treatments accurately while monitoring patient response
• Collaborate with physicians, techs and interdisciplinary staff to deliver coordinated care
• Document all patient care thoroughly and efficiently in Meditech
• Respond to emergencies, stabilize patients and assist with life-saving procedures
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, care plans and follow-up instructions
• Adhere to unit policies, dress code and professional standards to maintain a safe environment

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the U.S. (temporary licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with 2+ years of emergency department specialty experience
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required
• TNCC certification required
• NIH training/requirements satisfied (NIH required)
• Experience with Meditech preferred
• Ability to work rotating night schedules and every-other-weekend coverage

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong emergency assessment and triage skills
• Proficiency in acute and critical care interventions
• Comfortable using Meditech for documentation
• Excellent communication and teamwork in high-stress situations
• Ability to prioritize multiple patients and tasks effectively
• Professional presence that follows dress code and unit guidelines
