Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents at Marshwood Center
Administer medications and treatments accurately and document care thoroughly
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and update care plans
Monitor patient condition and communicate changes to the care team in a timely manner
Support activities of daily living and promote patient dignity and independence
Participate in shift handoffs and maintain accurate, timely charting

Qualifications

Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credential
Active authorization to practice in Maine (state licensure)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Comfortable with medication administration and documentation systems
Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
Reliable, professional, and patient-focused approach to care

Education

Practical Nursing diploma or certificate (or equivalent) required

Knowledge & Skills

Clinical assessment and basic nursing interventions
Medication administration and safety practices
Familiarity with long-term care workflows and documentation
Strong interpersonal skills and patient advocacy
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time during a busy shift
Basic computer skills for electronic charting
