Shift Type: Night, 3x12-hour shifts per week, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating nights with every-other-weekend coverage required (Night)

Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert emergency care to adult and pediatric patients in a fast-paced Level III Trauma/teaching hospital setting
- Perform cardiac monitoring and interpret dysrhythmias to support rapid intervention
- Administer blood products and manage central and arterial lines safely and according to protocol
- Start and maintain IVs, obtain 12-lead EKGs, and assist with emergent procedures as needed
- Assess and manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, overdose, psychiatric emergencies, and other critical presentations
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, etc.) to deliver coordinated, high-quality care
- Float between Harnett campuses as needed to meet facility demands while maintaining scope of practice
Qualifications
- Active RN license (state licensure required prior to start) — pending licenses are not accepted
- Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI, NIH (NIHSS) — current and valid
- Travel nursing experience required; must be able and willing to float between campuses
- Comfortable with 12-hour night shifts and working a 1:4 patient ratio
- Epic charting experience required; strong documentation skills
- Previous charge experience preferred
Education
- Active RN license required
- BSN preferred (not required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Emergency Department care for adults and pediatrics
- Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
- Blood product administration and transfusion safety
- Central line and arterial line care/management
- IV therapy, phlebotomy, and reliable vascular access skills
- Management of multisystem organ dysfunction/failure and emergency medications
- Assessment and intervention for psychiatric crises, drug overdose, and suicidal patients
- Ability to work effectively within a teaching hospital and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
