Roles & Responsibilities

• Support and assist interventional radiology procedures by preparing instruments and maintaining a sterile field
• Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment during procedures to ensure high-quality imaging
• Document patient care accurately in Epic and support efficient charting workflows
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and the procedural team to provide safe, patient-centered care
• Provide patient education and pre/post-procedure support with compassion and clarity
• Float within scope to help meet facility needs across related units when requested
• Participate in weekend and on-call rotations to ensure continuous IR coverage

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience; MUST have IR experience
• Experience charting in Epic
• Willingness to work every-other-weekend and participate in scheduled call coverage
• Ability and willingness to float within scope between like units as needed
• Pending licenses are not accepted; active required licensure is required
• First-time travel clinicians are welcome
• Locals within a 50-mile radius of Cape Fear Valley Medical Center are not accepted for this assignment

Knowledge & Skills

• Deep familiarity with interventional radiology procedures and sterile technique
• Proficient with Epic charting and electronic documentation workflows
• Skilled in operating fluoroscopy and related imaging equipment
• Strong teamwork, communication, and patient education skills
• Ability to handle procedural pace, call responsibilities, and weekend coverage
