Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, person-centered care to geriatric residents, supporting dignity and comfort
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)
- Measure and document vital signs and report any changes in condition promptly
- Support mobility and transfer activities using safe body mechanics and assistive devices
- Help maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection prevention practices
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the care team to promote coordinated care
- Accurately document resident care and observations in charts or electronic records
Qualifications
- Active GNA certification (required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification (preferred or required per facility policy)
- Comfortable working with older adults in long-term care or skilled nursing settings
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility immunization requirements
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of geriatric care needs and common age-related conditions
- Skilled in taking and recording vital signs, weight, and other basic assessments
- Awareness of infection control, safe patient handling, and fall prevention
- Familiarity with documentation best practices and basic electronic charting
- Good interpersonal skills for working with residents and interdisciplinary teams
- Time management and prioritization to handle multiple resident needs
