Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (Day). Training: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM for first 2 weeks

Candidate Pay Rate: $85 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, skilled nursing care to patients in a correctional medical setting
- Perform thorough assessments and document patient conditions accurately and promptly
- Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with facility protocols
- Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams and correctional staff to ensure safe outcomes
- Respond to urgent and emergent situations with calm, competent clinical intervention
- Educate patients about treatments and health maintenance in a clear, respectful way
- Maintain infection control standards, accurate medical records, and medication logs
- Participate in orientation and the initial training period to ensure smooth transition
Qualifications
- Current, active RN license in California (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS/PNC as applicable is a plus
- Experience in medical/surgical, correctional health, or comparable clinical setting preferred
- Ability to pass facility background checks and meet correctional facility requirements
- Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and documentation skills
- Reliable, professional, and comfortable working with diverse patient populations
Education
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ADN or BSN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of medical nursing practices, medication administration, and wound care
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate charting
- Infection control procedures and safety protocols
- Good clinical judgment, triage skills, and emergency response capability
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and security staff
- De-escalation techniques and experience working in secure or structured environments
