Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of medical imaging exams for patients of all ages using appropriate radiologic modalities
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment safely and effectively to produce reliable diagnostic images
- Lead patient and department workflow to ensure timely, compassionate care throughout the imaging process
- Use departmental software and personal computers to document exams, maintain records, and communicate results
- Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, families, and clinical teams to coordinate care
- Protect patient confidentiality and adhere to privacy regulations at all times
- Act independently with sound judgment while collaborating with colleagues to improve departmental operations
Qualifications
- Current ARRT certification in relevant modality
- Current Oregon license or valid temporary Oregon permit (recent graduates may hold temporary permit prior to ARRT registry)
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Image Wisely and Image Gently pledge certificates (obtainable within 30 days of hire and maintained annually)
- Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program
- Three years of hospital experience preferred, though new grads and candidates with less experience will be considered
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven ability to perform patient imaging exams across modalities (Radiologic Technology, Mammography, CT, MRI)
- Skilled in operating imaging and office equipment with strong attention to safety and image quality
- Comfortable using personal computers and various clinical software programs
- Strong interdepartmental communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage patient and department workflow, prioritizing care and timeliness
- Committed to maintaining patient confidentiality and professional conduct
