Shift Type: 4x10 Day shifts (typically scheduled within Monday–Friday), 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM; Call required: Mon-Fri 5:30 PM - 7:00 AM and Sat-Sun 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM (one RN on call). Day shift.
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $68 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in the Interventional Radiology lab
- Perform sheath removal and monitor vascular access sites with precision
- Manage and assist with vascular closure systems such as Perclose and StarClose
- Maintain radiation and laser safety standards for patients and staff
- Recognize and interpret dysrhythmias and initiate appropriate interventions
- Use the Richmond Agitation-Sedation Scale to assess and document sedation levels
- Chart accurately and efficiently in EPIC to ensure continuity of care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including radiology, pharmacy, PT, RT and transport to optimize patient outcomes
- Participate in on-call rotation to support emergent IR needs
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) designation and active licensure
- Minimum of 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- Proficiency with EPIC charting (required)
- Hands-on experience with sheath removal and vascular closure devices preferred
- Familiarity with interpretation/management of dysrhythmias and sedation assessment
- Ability to participate in on-call rotations including evenings, nights and weekends
- Travel-ready: locals are not accepted for this assignment

- Interventional Radiology procedures and vascular studies
- Angioplasty, carotid stenting, and upper/lower extremity angiography
- Sheath removal and monitoring techniques
- Use and troubleshooting of vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
- Radiation and laser safety best practices
- Interpretation and management of cardiac dysrhythmias
- Richmond Agitation-Sedation Scale application
- EPIC electronic charting proficiency
- Pressure ulcer assessment and prevention strategies
