Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in the Interventional Radiology lab
• Perform sheath removal and monitor vascular access sites with precision
• Manage and assist with vascular closure systems such as Perclose and StarClose
• Maintain radiation and laser safety standards for patients and staff
• Recognize and interpret dysrhythmias and initiate appropriate interventions
• Use the Richmond Agitation-Sedation Scale to assess and document sedation levels
• Chart accurately and efficiently in EPIC to ensure continuity of care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including radiology, pharmacy, PT, RT and transport to optimize patient outcomes
• Participate in on-call rotation to support emergent IR needs

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) designation and active licensure
• Minimum of 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Proficiency with EPIC charting (required)
• Hands-on experience with sheath removal and vascular closure devices preferred
• Familiarity with interpretation/management of dysrhythmias and sedation assessment
• Ability to participate in on-call rotations including evenings, nights and weekends
• Travel-ready: locals are not accepted for this assignment

• Angioplasty, carotid stenting, and upper/lower extremity angiography
