Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to geriatric residents, supporting dignity and comfort
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Monitor resident condition and promptly report changes to the nursing team
• Support mobility, transfer assistance, and fall-prevention measures
• Maintain clear, accurate documentation of care and resident observations
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver person-centered care
• Help create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents

Qualifications

• GNA certification required
• Current CPR/BLS preferred or willing to obtain
• Valid state-required immunizations and TB screening as applicable
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
• Comfortable working with older adult populations and dementia-friendly care approaches
• Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented with strong communication skills

Education

• High school diploma or GED required; GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on experience with activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic patient care
• Strong observation and reporting skills to communicate changes in condition
• Knowledge of infection control and safe patient handling
• Basic documentation skills and familiarity with care records
• Empathy, patience, and the ability to build rapport with residents and families
