Shift Type: Wednesday-Sunday, 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM (day); Orientation (first 2 weeks): Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to patients in the facility
Administer medications and treatments accurately and document care thoroughly
Perform patient assessments, monitor changes, and report findings to the care team
Maintain clear, timely clinical documentation and follow facility protocols
Support safety and security procedures appropriate to the correctional healthcare setting
Collaborate with nursing staff, providers, and support personnel to coordinate patient care
Participate in orientation and training to ensure consistent, high-quality care delivery

Qualifications

Current, valid LVN (Licensed Vocational Nurse) license required
Available for orientation (2 weeks, Mon–Fri, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM) and regular shifts (Wed–Sun, 1:30 PM–10:00 PM)
Prior experience in a medical setting preferred; corrections experience is a plus
Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and reliable documentation habits
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Education

Completion of an accredited LVN/vocational nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

Medication administration and basic clinical procedures
Patient assessment and monitoring
Accurate charting and electronic documentation
Infection control and standard precautions
Clear communication with patients and clinical staff
Ability to follow protocols and operate within a structured facility environment
