Roles & Responsibilities

• Obtain and record vital signs, height/weight, and pulse oximetry accurately to support clinical decision making
• Room patients and prepare charts to ensure providers have what they need for efficient visits
• Collect and reconcile medical history and current medications to promote patient safety
• Perform follow-up phone calls and handle patient refill requests with professionalism and care
• Manage ordering and stocking supplies so the clinic runs smoothly and patients aren’t left waiting
• Use EPIC charting (preferred) to document visits, authorizations, and telephone triage outcomes
• Assist clinicians with exam preparation and basic neurology-focused assessments as directed
• Coordinate authorization forms and support administrative duties that enable quality outpatient care

Qualifications

• Active MA-R (Registered) or MA-C (Certified) — MA-C preferred
• BLS certification required (must be valid upon submission)
• At least 6 months of MA experience (adult outpatient setting preferred; neurology experience preferred)
• Travel experience is required for travel candidates; local candidates also welcome
• Pending licenses are not accepted — license must be active at time of submission
• Reliable transportation required for this role
• First-timers on travel are not accepted

Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• Active MA-R or MA-C credential required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in taking vital signs, height/weight, and pulse oximetry
• Comfortable performing medication reconciliation and recording medical history
• Experience with patient rooming and chart preparation
• Familiarity with EPIC charting system (preferred)
• Telephone triage and handling pharmacy refill requests
• Ordering, stocking supplies, and basic office/clinic workflows
• Experience in adult outpatient settings and exposure to neurology workflows
• MOCA administration experience is a plus
