Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist occupational therapists in delivering individualized treatment plans that help patients regain independence
- Guide patients through daily living skills, mobility exercises, and functional activities to maximize outcomes
- Collaborate closely with OTs, PTs, nurses, and physicians to coordinate comprehensive care
- Educate patients and families on techniques and strategies to support recovery at home
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation to support continuity of care and regulatory compliance
- Contribute to a positive team culture that puts patient dignity and progress first
Qualifications
- Licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required
- Comfortable working in an in-person Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting—SNF experience preferred
- Able to commit to a 13-week contract in Live Oak, CA
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
- Team player with excellent communication and patient education abilities
Education
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential and required state licensure
Knowledge & Skills
- Practical knowledge of occupational therapy techniques and ADL training
- Patient-centered care and mobility assistance
- Clear, accurate clinical documentation
- Collaborative care and interdisciplinary communication
- Ability to teach and coach patients and families in therapy techniques
