Roles & Responsibilities

Assist occupational therapists in delivering individualized treatment plans that help patients regain independence
Guide patients through daily living skills, mobility exercises, and functional activities to maximize outcomes
Collaborate closely with OTs, PTs, nurses, and physicians to coordinate comprehensive care
Educate patients and families on techniques and strategies to support recovery at home
Maintain accurate, timely documentation to support continuity of care and regulatory compliance
Contribute to a positive team culture that puts patient dignity and progress first

Qualifications

Licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required
Comfortable working in an in-person Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting—SNF experience preferred
Able to commit to a 13-week contract in Live Oak, CA
Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
Team player with excellent communication and patient education abilities

Education

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential and required state licensure

Knowledge & Skills

Practical knowledge of occupational therapy techniques and ADL training
Patient-centered care and mobility assistance
Clear, accurate clinical documentation
Collaborative care and interdisciplinary communication
Ability to teach and coach patients and families in therapy techniques
