Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents in the rehabilitation center
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely according to physician orders
- Perform thorough assessments and monitor changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document care, interventions, and patient responses clearly and timely
- Educate residents and families about care plans, progress, and discharge planning
- Support quality improvement and safety initiatives within the unit
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse license valid in New Mexico (Class: RN or LPN)
- Clinical experience in rehab, long-term care, or related settings is a plus; specific years not specified
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be required — confirm with the recruiter
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a collaborative care team
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in patient assessment and monitoring
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Familiarity with rehab-focused nursing care and restorative techniques
- Ability to prioritize, manage time, and handle a 12+ hour shift effectively
- Team collaboration, clear communication, and patient/family education
