Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents in the rehabilitation center
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely according to physician orders
• Perform thorough assessments and monitor changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Document care, interventions, and patient responses clearly and timely
• Educate residents and families about care plans, progress, and discharge planning
• Support quality improvement and safety initiatives within the unit

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse license valid in New Mexico (Class: RN or LPN)
• Clinical experience in rehab, long-term care, or related settings is a plus; specific years not specified
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be required — confirm with the recruiter
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a collaborative care team

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment and monitoring
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Familiarity with rehab-focused nursing care and restorative techniques
• Ability to prioritize, manage time, and handle a 12+ hour shift effectively
• Team collaboration, clear communication, and patient/family education
