Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate CT equipment to acquire high-quality diagnostic images with care and precision
- Position and prepare patients for CT exams while ensuring comfort and safety
- Follow established CT protocols and adjust parameters for patient-specific needs
- Maintain radiation safety practices and adhere to infection control standards
- Collaborate with radiologists and multidisciplinary teams to support timely diagnoses
- Document procedures and maintain accurate patient records in the imaging system
- Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and escalate technical problems when needed
- Provide compassionate patient education and clear explanations before and after procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of CT technologist experience (as listed in the job posting)
- ARRT (R) certification in Radiography or CT, or registry-eligible (preferred)
- State radiologic technologist licensure or eligibility (Florida licensure preferred)
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Familiarity with CT protocols, contrast administration fundamentals, and patient screening
- Strong patient care skills and the ability to work independently on night shifts
Education
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field (or equivalent training)
- CT-specific training or CE credits preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with multislice CT scanners and cross-sectional imaging techniques
- Solid understanding of anatomy, CT imaging protocols, and radiation safety principles
- Experience using PACS, RIS, and electronic medical records for image routing and documentation
- Excellent patient positioning and communication skills for varied patient populations
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time under busy conditions, and work collaboratively
