Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care in the radiology setting
• Assess and monitor patients before, during, and after imaging procedures
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient care
• Prepare patients for procedures including IV access and contrast administration when indicated
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the medical record
• Educate patients and families about procedures and post-procedure care with clarity and empathy
• Adhere to radiation safety and infection control protocols to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; Florida license or Compact RN license preferred
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, with radiology experience preferred
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS or specialty certifications a plus
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a fast-paced imaging environment
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of radiology procedures and patient safety in imaging
• Skill in patient assessment, IV insertion, and monitoring
• Familiarity with EMR systems and accurate clinical documentation
• Ability to collaborate effectively with radiology techs and physicians
• Comfort managing contrast reactions and emergency situations
