Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality pediatric echocardiograms for infants (0–12 months) with professionalism and compassion
- Execute 2D transthoracic and 2D/3D transesophageal studies and document findings accurately
- Conduct dobutamine stress echo studies following unit protocols and safety guidelines
- Operate and maintain GE E90, E95 and S70N equipment, ensuring scanners are ready for each patient
- Document exams and workflow efficiently in Meditech and Centricity Cardio Workflow (CCW)
- Collaborate with cardiology team members, radiology staff and nursing to provide coordinated patient care
- Follow unit policies (CARD.100, CARD.102, CARD.103, PC.254) and contribute to a safe, detail-oriented work environment
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of echocardiography experience (as listed in job posting)
- BLS certification required
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) and/or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) required
- Proven ability to perform pediatric echocardiography on infants (0–12 months) — candidates without this skill will not be considered
- Certified Pediatric Echocardiographer (PE) preferred
- Familiarity with EKG procedures and PACs/EMR workflows
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong pediatric echo skills and knowledge of infant imaging protocols
- Proficiency with GE E90, GE E95 and GE S70N ultrasound systems
- Experience using Meditech EMR and Centricity Cardio Workflow (CCW)
- Solid understanding of dobutamine stress echo and contrast echo procedures
- Detail-oriented approach, excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Adaptable, proactive, and able to function independently in a busy echocardiography unit
