Shift Type: Primarily day shifts, Monday-Friday, 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (8-hour shifts); 4x10 day option Monday-Thursday, 6:45 AM - 5:00 PM (10-hour shifts); Rotating weekend and night on-call coverage (weeknights 3:15 PM - 6:45 AM when on call) with a 15-minute call response expectation and holiday rotation

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert perioperative nursing care in the operating room, ensuring patient safety and excellent outcomes
• Support surgical teams for General/Robotics or Ortho/Neuro cases, including assisting with robotics and complex procedures
• Perform EPIC charting and maintain accurate documentation before, during, and after cases
• Respond to on-call activations within the required response time and provide compassionate, competent care
• Float and cross-train across specialties as needed to support unit needs and broaden your clinical skills
• Serve as a caring 1:1 sitter or helping hands when required to support patient safety on the floor
• Participate in unit orientation, precepting, and ongoing professional development to maintain high standards of care

Qualifications

• Active RN license (state of practice) required
• Minimum 3 years of OR (Operating Room) experience — must be proficient in either Ortho/Neuro OR General/Robotics
• BLS certification required; other perioperative certifications encouraged
• Experience with EPIC charting required
• Experience with DaVinci Xi, ION robotics, open bellies and endoscopy/scope experience strongly preferred for General/Robotics role
• Ortho/Neuro candidates should have experience with total joints, arthroscopy, spinal fusions, micro discectomy and cranial cases
• Willingness to float to other specialties and perform 1:1 sitter duties when needed
• BSN not required (BSN Required: No)

Education

• Active RN license (Associate degree, diploma, or BSN acceptable)
• BLS certification required
• BSN not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Perioperative nursing and OR workflow expertise
• Robotics familiarity (DaVinci Xi, ION) and general robotics know-how
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records
• Experience with Stryker towers and common OR instrumentation
• Scope/GI and endoscopy familiarity (scope experience acceptable with refresher)
• Strong call-management skills and ability to meet a 15-minute response time
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams, charge nurses, and OR techs in a fast-paced environment
