Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality radiation therapy treatments using Varian Edge and Halcyon systems
• Prepare and position patients with compassion and precision to ensure accurate treatment delivery
• Perform daily equipment checks and quality assurance tasks to maintain a safe treatment environment
• Collaborate with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and nursing staff to implement individualized care plans
• Document treatments and patient interactions accurately in EPIC to keep care coordinated
• Educate patients and families about procedures and safety, helping reduce anxiety and improve outcomes
• Participate in unit meetings and contribute to continuous improvement of clinical workflows

Qualifications

• ARRT (Radiation Therapy) certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Radiation Therapy experience
• Proficiency with Varian Edge and Halcyon preferred
• Experience with EPIC charting system preferred
• License to submit (state licensure) as required by facility
• Candidates must NOT have been full-time, part-time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit facility (including CHI or Dignity) within the past year (Radius Rule)

Education

• Completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program (Associate or Bachelor) or equivalent clinical training

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of radiation therapy principles, safety, and QA procedures
• Skilled in patient positioning, immobilization, and treatment setup
• Familiarity with Varian Edge and Halcyon treatment platforms
• Comfortable documenting clinical care in EPIC
• Excellent communication skills for patient education and multidisciplinary teamwork
• Detail-oriented approach to treatment delivery and equipment checks
