Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide advanced critical care nursing for acutely and critically ill patients in the ICU
- Continuously monitor patient status, recognize changes, and initiate timely interventions
- Perform comprehensive assessments and coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams
- Administer and manage complex treatments, medications, and clinical interventions
- Conduct and document moderate complexity testing in compliance with CAP requirements
- Participate in bedside handoffs, patient education, and family communication with empathy
- Support unit goals for quality, safety, and positive patient outcomes during night shift
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Oregon RN license required upon submission
- Healthcare Provider BLS required
- ACLS, PALS, and TNCC preferred (GSR ICU-CCU preferred certifications)
- Previous ICU experience preferred
- Verification of high school diploma or equivalent required due to CAP moderate complexity testing
- Ability to work nights and rotating weekends as scheduled
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent (required for CAP moderate complexity testing)
Knowledge & Skills
- Critical care nursing and ICU/CCU clinical expertise
- Patient monitoring and interpretation of complex data
- Performing focused and comprehensive patient assessments
- Carrying out clinical interventions and managing high-acuity patients
- Experience with operating room interactions and perioperative critical care
- Comfort with moderate complexity testing and documentation requirements
