Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting and mobility support
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to nursing staff
- Document resident care and observations clearly and timely in the chart or EHR
- Communicate effectively with nurses, families and interdisciplinary team members
- Support safe transfers and fall prevention measures for every resident
- Follow infection control, safety policies and facility procedures consistently
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (Pennsylvania preferred)
- Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen and required immunizations
- Comfortable working as part of a team and supporting resident-centered care
- Dependable, punctual, and ready to represent the facility professionally
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent and successful completion of a state-approved CNA program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of basic patient care and ADLs
- Comfortable taking and recording vital signs and observations
- Familiarity with infection control and safe patient handling
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Good communication, empathy and time management
