Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, person-centered bedside care to residents and patients
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
- Document care accurately and maintain clear communication with care partners
- Support safe transfers and fall-prevention measures to keep patients secure
- Collaborate with nurses and therapists to follow individualized care plans
- Promote dignity and independence while delivering routine nursing tasks
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — required
- Current state-required licensure and credentials for Pennsylvania CNAs
- Comfortable working in long-term care or rehabilitation settings
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Dependable, compassionate, and patient-focused attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an accredited CNA program required
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on patient care and safe transfer techniques
- Basic vital signs and observing/reporting clinical changes
- Infection control practices and proper PPE use
- Clear documentation and charting skills
- Effective communication with patients, families and clinical staff
- Time management and prioritization during busy shifts
