Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to geriatric patients and support their daily living needs
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility to maintain dignity and comfort
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly to nursing staff
• Support safe transfers and fall prevention practices to keep residents secure
• Document patient care and observations thoroughly and professionally
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and families to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

• Active GNA certification (required)
• Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
• State nursing assistant/GNA registration as required by Maryland
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
• Compassionate attitude, strong communication skills, and a team-first mindset

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Experience with activities of daily living (ADLs) and geriatric care basics
• Knowledge of infection control and patient safety procedures
• Ability to take and accurately record vital signs
• Strong interpersonal skills for communicating with residents and family members
• Good time management and reliable documentation practices
