Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC; schedule set in 6-week blocks by leadership; includes 6-9 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule and possible holiday rotation; nights, floating across Zone 1 facilities
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert telemetry nursing care for adults and geriatrics across MS-Tele and specialty units
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and intervene per protocol to keep patients safe
- Titrate heparin drips and manage medication infusions within unit policy
- Float across units (cardiac, neuro, oncology, rehab, renal, ortho, trauma, ED obs) while maintaining high standards
- Document care accurately and efficiently in EPIC to ensure continuity and quality
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including respiratory therapists and aides, to coordinate patient care
- Serve as support for charge duties when needed and help maintain unit flow and patient assignments
- Contribute to a positive patient experience through compassionate, evidence-based nursing
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted RN license for the state of Colorado
- Minimum 2 years of MS-Telemetry (MS-Tele) nursing experience (explicit requirement)
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Comfort and experience with float-pool work and multiple acuity levels (ICU/PCU/Stepdown familiarity preferred)
- Experience with EPIC charting system
- Ability to titrate heparin drips per unit policy
- Valid driver’s license required (DL must be submitted) and willingness to travel within a 60-mile radius
- Ability to be in-state for week-of-orientation and to secure housing that supports floating throughout the zone
Education
- Active RN license (required)
- BSN: Not required (Associate Degree or Diploma acceptable); BSN welcomed if available
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm recognition
- Assessment and management of adult/geriatric patient populations
- Neuro assessment basics (NIHSS familiarity preferred)
- Familiarity with ventilator adjuncts: CPAP/BiPAP and basic vent concepts
- Strong prioritization, triage, and delegation skills in a fast-paced acute care setting
- Solid documentation skills in EPIC and effective interdisciplinary communication
- Ability to adapt quickly when floating to different specialties and facility workflows
