Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide safe, patient-centered care using the nursing process: assess, plan, implement and evaluate
- Deliver direct clinical care in the Emergency Department and Telemetry settings with accuracy and compassion
- Communicate changes in clinical condition and diagnostic results promptly to physicians and care team members
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments and follow-up in an approachable, clear manner
- Supervise and guide other nursing personnel while upholding professional standards
- Respond quickly and effectively to changes in patient condition and emergency situations
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality in all interactions and documentation
- Adhere to EMTALA regulations and report suspected child/adult abuse to appropriate agencies
Qualifications
- Current, valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)
- BLS required; ACLS and PALS required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) completion required
- EDAP 1 and EDAP 2 completion preferred/required as listed
- DCI/BVP and BVP (MAB) training preferred or required per checklist
- NIHSS or Stroke Certification preferred
- COVID-19 vaccination/boosters preferred per facility policy
- Experience in Emergency Department nursing and Telemetry care with cardiac rhythm interpretation
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment, care planning, implementation and evaluation
- Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Knowledge of EMTALA and reporting requirements for abuse
- Ability to respond to changing clinical conditions quickly and accurately
- Strong patient/family teaching and communication skills
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality consistently
