Shift Type: Rotating shifts (exact start/end times vary by facility schedule), 36-hour guarantee weekly; may include weekends and night coverage; frequent float between ICU and Step-down (SDU)

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill patients from adolescent to geriatric populations
- Monitor and manage complex patient conditions using advanced assessment and clinical judgment
- Operate and interpret patient monitoring systems and support devices with confidence
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized care plans
- Supervise and coordinate care with CNAs, LPNs and other assigned healthcare staff
- Float between ICU and Step-down units as needed to meet patient care demands
- Maintain professional nursing standards, accurate documentation, and timely communication with families and providers
Qualifications
- Active Michigan RN license required (provide LARA and Nursys verification; license must be active at time of submission)
- ACLS certification required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2+ years of ICU experience required
- Travel nursing experience preferred
- Comfort supervising CNA/LPN and other healthcare workers
- Completed skills checklist within one year for RN specialties (required in profile)
Knowledge & Skills
- Critical care assessment and rapid decision-making
- Ventilator and advanced respiratory support familiarity
- Hemodynamic monitoring and management
- Cardiac and neurosurgical patient care experience
- Strong clinical documentation and medication administration skills
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced ICU and step-down environments
- Effective teamwork and clear communication with multidisciplinary teams
