Shift Type: Rotating/variable shifts (primarily 6:45 AM - 4:00 PM; department may schedule shifts up to 11:15 PM), Monday-Sunday as needed; scheduled ~40 hours/week (possibility of 32 hours on holidays); includes rotating nights and weekends and 24/7 on-call coverage (average 1-2x/week on-call, up to 2 weekends/month) - day/night rotating

Roles & Responsibilities

• Scrub independently for endoscopy procedures, ensuring sterile technique and patient safety
• Assist with turnover cleaning to maintain a safe, efficient procedure area
• Transport patients when needed with care and professionalism
• Respond to on-call requests promptly (20-minute callback expectation) to support 24/7 coverage
• Communicate clearly with the GI team to coordinate cases and patient flow
• Help maintain procedure supplies and setup so cases run smoothly

Qualifications

• State of Hawaii license required by the start of the assignment; travelers not currently licensed in HI must apply upon acceptance
• Minimum 2 years of experience scrubbing cases in a hospital setting
• Proven ability to independently scrub endoscopy cases
• Willingness to work variable shifts, participate in on-call rotation, and cover weekends as needed
• Reliable, team-oriented, and patient-focused approach

Knowledge & Skills

• Endoscopy scrubbing techniques and instrumentation
• Aseptic technique and turnover cleaning practices
• Patient transport and safe handling
• Experience working in a hospital operating/procedure room environment
• Comfort with variable schedules and on-call responsibilities
