Roles & Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia (intravenous, inhalation and regional) safely and compassionately for patients of all ages
- Provide advanced airway management and intubation when needed across perioperative settings
- Perform thorough pre-anesthetic assessments and document findings clearly in EPIC
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons and the perioperative team to create and execute anesthetic plans
- Manage perioperative and immediate postoperative care to optimize patient outcomes
- Lead and mentor peers—precept new staff and contribute to professional development
- Identify opportunities for quality improvement and participate in patient safety initiatives
- Educate patients and families on anesthesia plans and perioperative expectations
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and compliance with regulatory standards
- Respond to emergent and resuscitation situations when anesthesia services are required
Qualifications
- Board Certified by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) (required)
- Completion of an Accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program (required)
- Minimum of 2 years CRNA experience (post-training; new grads not accepted)
- Experience with EPIC electronic medical record preferred/required
- Willingness to travel to other ambulatory sites as needed
- Not accepting 1099 or Locum candidates
- Credentialing may take up to 90 days prior to start
- Open to H1B and J1 visa candidates
- Must complete employee health screening and meet vaccination requirements (COVID vaccine required unless approved exemption)
Education
- Completion of an Accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program (required)
- Board Certification by AANA (required)

- Anesthesia techniques: intravenous, inhalation and regional approaches
- Advanced airway management and intubation skills
- Perioperative assessment and immediate postoperative care
- Clinical documentation best practices in EPIC
- Strong teamwork, communication and customer-service focused care
- Ability to mentor and precept colleagues and students
- Quality improvement mindset and patient-safety focus
- Comfort working across OR, Radiology, ICU and ER settings when needed
