Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based Med-Surg nursing care across multiple units as assigned
• Perform thorough patient assessments, create and follow individualized care plans, and document care accurately in EPIC
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate safe, efficient patient care
• Float to different Med-Surg areas and adapt quickly to unit-specific workflows and protocols
• Maintain up-to-date competency documentation including skills checklist and certification cards
• Communicate clearly with patients and families to ensure understanding and comfort during their stay
• Support unit staffing needs by stepping into varied roles and contributing to a positive team environment

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license suitable for verification via Nursys
• Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg nursing experience in specialty
• EPIC experience is required — please note on your profile
• Current BLS certification; other certifications (ACLS, PALS) a plus depending on unit
• Complete candidate profile with work history/resume (no gaps greater than 60 days), skills checklist, references, and certification card
• Badge-appropriate photo and full demographic profile required for processing

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program (ADN or BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong Med-Surg clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency in EPIC documentation and electronic charting workflows
• Comfort with floating between units and quickly learning unit-specific practices
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to manage multiple patients and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with Nursys license verification processes
