Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients at HCA Florida Osceola Hospital
Assess patient conditions, document accurately, and communicate changes to the care team
Administer medications and treatments safely and according to protocols
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to create and update care plans
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
Participate in unit initiatives to improve patient outcomes and workflow efficiency
Mentor and support colleagues to foster a positive, team-oriented environment

Qualifications

Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS) preferred depending on unit assignment
Minimum recent acute care experience preferred (typical expectation: 1+ year)
Comfortable using electronic health record (EHR) systems
Strong communication and teamwork skills with a patient-first mindset

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required

Knowledge & Skills

Clinical assessment and critical thinking in acute care settings
Medication administration and IV management
Familiarity with hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control
Effective documentation and time management
Ability to educate patients and families with clarity and empathy
